He completed his undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University before earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1994. He completed his surgical residency there in 1999.
Recently, Dr. Patterson obtained certification in stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and became a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. He has recently been certified in hidden scar breast cancer surgery and completed ASCO Cancer Genetics Program. He specializes in treating an array of conditions affecting the breasts, including mastitis, cysts, benign and cancerous breast lumps, and high-risk patients.
